Active Alerts problem

Hi All,

can anyone please tell me how to remove active alerts on NPM, when i login to web interface on home page it shows many devices with active alerts which i want to be removed. how can i remove old alerts and so only limited alerts are shown on that window?
is there any way that NPM does not show older alerts on the home page? please let me know.

Alij,

I have the same issue when dealing with alerts that have no rearm condition, such as "Interface Speed Change". Since I can't figure out a way to have it rearm and remove the alert condition, I have to periodically remove them manually. To do this, I simply launch System Manager on the polling engine monitoring the device in question, go to "Alerts" -> "Configure Alerts", then disable and re-enable the associated alert. This will remove all of those particular alerts that are associated with that poller.

But when you do this doesnt it send out all the active alerts all over again..

If this is for Advanced Alerts you can clear out triggered alerts. To clear ALL alerts for an alert definition select the definition in the Manage Alerts window and click the clear button. To clear specific alerts look at the alert list in the active alerts view of the system manager and click the 'clear' button on the far right of the alert item.

This is not available for basic alerts.
