Port requirements for all SolarWinds products

Hi SolarWinds team,

'Port requirements for all SolarWinds Products' looks great but then can source and destination columns be added when you update it next? I understand we do have description column but if its feasible enough could you please add source and destination onto the document for every module. Thanks in advance.

All ports listed are destination ports as source port is almost always a random high port greater than 1024.

Necro'd sorry, but I'm pretty sure the request for source and destination is meant to indicate direction of traffic. I.E. Is the destination port required for Server to client, monitored device, etc OR Client, monitored device, etc to Server. I am a network admin/architect and I find it enormously frustrating when this isn't made clear in the documentation. Often I have to setup packet captures to determine why my ACLs aren't permitting the necessary traffic only to find I've permitted the traffic in the wrong direction.

Even if that's not the intent of the OP, it's what I'd like to see.

All TCP ports referenced in that KB article are destination ports as the source port is almost always a random high port greater than 1024. E.G. the ephemeral port range. As this is controlled by and varies by operating system, it's not something that is easily documented.
