Duplicate or Phantom Interface

Running 8.5.1 under Win 2003 Server.
In several cases, I have duplicate interfaces on the same server. For instance on a Solaris server, it has "hme0" twice in the Web GUI. I tried unchecking it from resource list. No difference. Added it back in, no difference. I did not try deleting the node and restarting as we have extra inventory fields. Plus that would be counter-production as this has happened in several cases. As an experiment, I went so far as to remove the phantom interface record from the interfaces table. It reappeared within a few minutes. In a couple of other cases, SW seems to be just making up an interface from somewhere. I have e100g0 interfaces just showing up showing up on some other Solaris servers. I can't find anything regarding them in the MIB. Anybody have any clues?

My issue is similar. When I edit netflow sources under "ADMIN>>NTA SETTINGS>>SETTINGS>>NETFLOW SOURCES>>EDIT: I see two entries for each device.

I wish someone would comment on this post.

have started seeing this myself lately when Dell Servers will "loose" their virtualized interfaces and have been able to fix it by listing the resources and selecting them again. after this it polls the interfaces and they have come back up. Not a true fix but it treats the symptom.
