I've recently starting having issues with my two additional polling engines, where they go from active to stopped within 2 minutes of running the configuration wizard. Looking at the event log on both of my additional polling engines i see the following error message reoccurring.
Connection to SolarWinds Information Service v3.0 did not succeeded after 61 retries. Please start SolarWinds Information Service
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the information service, with no success in bringing my polling engines online. I currently have the following versions of software in my environment.
- Orion Platform 2015.1.2
- SAM 6.2.1
- DPA 9.2.0
- QoE 2.0
- IPAM 43
- NCM 7.4
- NPM 11.5.2
- NTA 4.1.2
- WPM 2.2.0
- SRM 6.1.11
- IVIM 2.1.0
I've read in some cases it could be due to incompatibility in the versions of software that are running. I can tell you that my main polling engine is fine and working without any issues. It is currently holding the load for every server in my company while i try to get the other additional polling engines working.
Anyone have any other ideas for fixing the issue? i've opened a support case but they are saying that it is a communication issue between the servers. Unfortunately i disagree with the technicians because all of the servers have the firewall turned off, and are all on the same subnet and there are no physical firewalls between the servers at all.
