Is there a way to perform basic ping of external website from within Orion? Reason being our Security in their wisdom have decided to block all ICMP outbound so we wont be able to, for example, ping google.com or any site like that. I tried adding the Engineer Toolset to Orion but I dont see anything in there to allow plus you would have to license for each user to be able to use and we aren't going to buy hundreds of licenses for that. We got security to exempt our two polling engines so I can still ping directly from either server but was hoping there was a way to do from within Orion itself, as I will not give access directly to hour SW servers to every tech support person in our company.
Also, we do have the WPM monitor but that really only helps if you have specific sites already setup and I"m not setting up a transaction for every ping that is done.
