Can you alert if a Windows Scheduled Task did not run at the scheduled time?

Can you alert if a Windows Scheduled Task did not run at the scheduled time? I know you can set the task scheduled run time but I am referring to alerting on multiple tasks that all run at different times. Is there a variable to put in the alert that says if task ran but did not run at scheduled time, then alert?

Not got access to my system but just tried on demo site would you not set it on the time of day tab?

I haven't done this yet but there has been talk recently that the company are wanting solarwinds to keep an eye on it

No it's not a matter of scheduling the alert for a time period, it's a matter of the actual time each specific task is scheduled to run.

Using SolarWinds SAM module, you can get visibility into these:

(0x41300) The task is ready to run at its next scheduled time.

(0x41301) The task is currently running.

(0x41302) The task will not run at the scheduled times because it has been disabled.

(0x41303) The task has not yet run.

I haven't seen that list here so that is nice to have but none of those on the list (and I reviewed the status codes link) speak directly to an active task not running at it's scheduled time. I don't think from what I have researched that a code exists for that. I appreciate the link though!

No problem. Seems as close as I can get you...unless this helps:

Have the scheduled task do what it already does, but stick another step in the beginning. Like creating a text file containing the date and time or named with the date and time. Then you could turn this into an effort toward verifying that the text file includes the expected date and the expected time. SAM has templates for file existence and for file change, so you might be able to leverage that to prove your jobs did or did not run. It wouldn't prove that other actions in the scheduled taks were performed, but it would prove the scheduled task ran.

@SPX13320 Use the List Resources on the node in question and select the Schedule Tasks option (if available).

I then found the "Windows Scheduled Tasks: Alert me when task last run result is non successful" alert, then "Copy and Edit" it to a new alert.

The trigger is rather comprehensive:

You can use SWQL to test for all known results, then whittle it down to the ones you care about, but I am sure we just copied the original trigger into our new alert definition.

That's not what I needed, i'm already aware of that and have the tasks alerting on what I need. The scheduling part was a request after I had the alerts set, they just wanted to know that even if the task ran they (mgmt.) wanted to know if it ran at the correct time.

Sound counter intuitive to me.

So why not produce them (mgmt.) a report, detailing such information?
