Orion PING vs. Command Line PING

I have just migrated to a new firewall version and have some Nodes in Orion which now say 'Down' but they're not down. I can do manual PINGs from the Orion server command line which work fine, but the Orion PINGs don't seem to work. I have done tcpdump and I see the manual pings going and coming back both inside and outside the firewall, but the Orion PINGs are only seen on the inside, with no replies.

I know this is a firewall issue, but I didn't change anything about ICMP (on purpose, anyway).

How would Orion-generated PINGs differ from manual PINGs, any idea?

On the Network tab in the Orion System Manager Settings you can adjust the data portion of the ICMP packet. This may be the difference.

OUT-STANDING, thank you. On my whiteboard behind me is Rule #1: "It's ALWAYS the firewall." True again. As soon as I added "Orion Polling PING" to the data portion, my firewall-traversed nodes came back up.
