Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
SPAN Ports on Cisco 2950/3550
sfletcher
Greetings,
I'm new to Orion, although I've been using the Toolsets for years. In monitoring my network with Orion 7.0.5 I've come across an interesting problem:
I would like to track interface stats on some monitor destination (i.e., SPAN) ports on Cisco 2950 and 3550 switches. These two switches report the SPAN ports as up/down. Other models of Cisco switches report SPAN ports as up/up.
Orion apparently reads the up/down status as down, and does not collect any stats, even though I can see the traffic stats incrementing in the switch's CLI.
Anybody know of any workarounds?
TIA,
Stewart Fletcher
