Empty map status down

I've recently tried mapping a computer room down to rack level, including the racks that have been installed, but have no systems as yet.

These empty maps seem to always report their state as down/unknown (not unreasonable on its own) problem is that when this is then included in the larger map it indicates the map is down.

does anyone know of a way to change this - the slider (on map properties) that configures the % of map objects to be up makes no difference to the overall status - sounds like a logic flaw when node count =0.
