Views by Device Type

I apologize if this has been asked before, but, is it possible to created a custom device type?  For example, we have many liebert UPS devices that fall under the "Emerson Computer Power" device type.  I want to specify what model they are so that I can create a view for each of them. 

Right now I have some custom pollers that do not work for all of the "Emerson Computer Power" devices.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible.  We'll take it as a feature request.
