Changing orion Map node labels

We are currently going through a process of changing the node names on a network of 1000+ nodes. While this is taking sometime it is progressing well. I also have an sql script that updates the orion Node Name or 'caption' form the devices' sysname. However, the name of the Map objects remain unchanged.

Does anyone have a method for changing the map lables without me losing my sanity?

You need to stop the poller, make the update, and then start the poller again. The poller is the "master", not the database. The poller only takes database info when it starts up.

I know that the poller is 'King' and needs to be stopped to change some of the database fields; it is the map labels that are not reflecting the change to the caption or the sysname!

Depends on how you created the map labels. If the map labels are variable based - like $<NodeName> - then they should update automatically. However, if the nodes names were added as static entries, then you'll have to update them manually.
