Hotfix 2

So, I installed the second hotfix and tried to apply limitations to an account (account -> Interface details -> edit Default Network device). Still I get this error. During hotfix application the website is re-configured. Could there be something there? I run my website on a non-standard location on the server (i.e not c:\intepub)

It sounds like you might have a row in your Interfaces table whose NodeID points to a non-existent node. I have no idea how it could have gotten that way. You could use Database Manager to find all interfaces associated with NodeID 2169 (SELECT * FROM Interfaces WHERE NodeID=2169) and delete them. That should get the Default Network Device interface working again.

From looking at the code, I think this could be caused by having interfaces with identical names. I have attached a zip file with an updated version of a source file. Please replace it in \Inetpub\Solarwinds\Orion\Admin and let me know if that solves the problem. If so, we'll get it into the next release.

Does this happen for any password you use for the new user? Try a few variations and let me know whether you get this error for everything or just certain patterns.

For some obscure reason I managed to add a new account. However, when I make its home page view Interface Details, and then edit the Default Network Device I get this message. I never asked for Node 2169. Now, for Node Details -> Default Network Device it works OK.

After applying Hotfix 2 I am also still getting this error when trying to limit accounts:

JMP - the file I attached earlier in this thread fixes an error with Edit Default Net Object, not limitations.

The problem you have hit with editing limitations will be fixed in the upcoming service release.
