Cisco Environmental Monitoring

I am trying to figure out the best way to monitor the Power Supply, Fan, and Temperature for all Cisco labeled hardware. For some of the devices, I'm fine with using the Custom Poller OIDs that Solarwinds provided out of the box. However, I'm running into an issue with some of the hardware. I think that say, for a Catalyst 3750 Stack, the "GetNext" OID isn't always consistant, which causes some monitors to not return data.

Another scenario is with the Aironet 1200. The Environmentals aren't on the Cisco-Environ mib at all, so I'm not sure what to use there.

I'm wondering now if we should have the devices send Syslog messages into our server. How are you guys tackling this nut, when you have
