Add APM value to advanced alert

We do not want "Last Boot" to be updated based on the SNMP service start time because ours are crashing various times across all of our Windows servers. And there are times when we need to start and stop them on purpose. There's a windows perfmon counter under System called System Up Time that lists how many seconds since the last reboot that is very accurate. Two questions:

1. How do we change our windows servers to have Last Boot be based on that field?

2. If we can't use that how do we set our alerts to use that APM perfmon counter we're monitoring? I can only add Node properties in the trigger condition, not APM values.

That post is a feature request, so that Solarwinds will do the heavy lifting that I think should be de-facto. This new post is a request for help at my attempt to not wait until the feature is implemented. I see posts about this issue for a while now and I don't see anyone mentioning it will be fixed. So I voiced my support for this type of feature request and in the meantime I'm trying to solve it on my own. I don't see why ORION reports servers as rebooting when the snmp service restarts (or even the event log service). Those are not accurate means of measuring reboots. Windows tracks up time (see perfmon or look at systeminfo in cmd.exe) so it seems logical to use those to track if something has rebooted. We are now monitoring that perfmon counter and I was looking for help on triggering an alert based on that counter.

I looked at a couple other pre-built alerts and it looks like some of them can see APM components while the default "node rebooted" one cannot. Not sure why, but in any case I'm going to try and test some.
