Multiple job engines running on NPM server

I have two job engines running on my NPM server , one is a version 1 Job engine and another is a version 2 job engine. Do I need both to run and can I remove one of them. This server used to have NCM installed, but I have removed this application now.

You should keep both. If you have any Universal Device pollers, you definitely need Job Engine v1.

From what I have heard, V1 is the legacy single thread job engine and v2 is a new revamped multi-threaded blah better blah faster blah engine and all the pollers are being re-written to use it, but in the mean time we will have to deal with both pollers till they are all upgraded.
