Node status in the map

Dear All, i want your help in this, i have added 2 devices with normal add node procedure, then i started map maker and started new map, i dragged both of the routers from left to right (map), now i drew the link between them.

When i shut down any router it doesnt change colour automatically as it does at Orion network performance monitor window, i thought that it should have been done automatically, so kindly guide me in this.

This will not be displayed while you are in the mapmaker. Try viewing the map from the Orion website to see current node status.

Dear Mark, i have tried it just logged on to the orion web console, i imported the map and it was showing the 2 devices, now when i shut it down again it still didnt turned it red until i refreshed the page, this is not what i require, i want it to change color and denote node status in real time,

Any help pls

Maybe I'm missing something here but it's working as designed, at least that's the way it works for me. A down node won't flash red until the web page is refreshed, if it already isn't flashing as red.

From the website Admin panel -> Web Console Settings > Map cache timeout. Reduce the time to your preference and see if it helps.

Hi Mark, thanks i have checked it and its working after refreshing the page , there is one more thing i wanted to ask and its a very very common requirement, i am using cisco routers, and when a particular link goes down ( line protocol goes down) i want the trap to be generated immediately and result to be shown on the map as node turning yellow, i know its not completely related with orion itself but if you guys can help me out in this i will be thankful, since i am evaluating it and my first and most important task is to achieve this goal,
