I would like the graphs to be more interactive to make analyzing the data in them easier. A few specifics are as follows... * When you hover over a line/data-point on a graph it tells you the exact time and value for the data-point. * Highlight a section of the graph to zoom in on that section. * Ability to insert annotations into the graph This feature requests applies to NPM and all of it's modules since they all use similar graphs.

I would like the graphs to be more interactive to make analyzing the data in them easier. A few specifics are as follows...

When you hover over a line/data-point on a graph it tells you the exact time and value for the data-point.
Highlight a section of the graph to zoom in on that section.

I haven't specifically used the Google tools that have this but it's been pretty much the same in all tools that I have seen it in. I am less concerned with the very specific details of the implementation and just more interested in the general concept.

Great minds think alike, glad to hear you guys are also thinking in this direction.

I have been wanting to submit this exact request for some time. I have seen this functionality in many other tools. This is exactly the type of improvement I would like to see for graphs.

Radio buttons on the graphs to change the Time Period/Sample Interval on the fly.

add us to the list. it's one of the things keeping us on the fence. our current product, though less feature rich provides this and the CEO himself loves driving the graphs to drill down during investigations (small company). I am not looking forward to explaining to him that he'd have to now type in every time span.

At a minimum it'd be nice to zoom in by double clicking a region and zoom out by double right-clicking a region. Or like Perfmon drag and highlight a section and click zoom.

If this can't be done soon, can the following:

If someone types in a start and end date and presses enter it filters for that range even if they forgot to drop the menu down to custom.

web 2.0 feel on all charts especially when you click one on a details view and it opens up a window just for that chart.

Points 1 and 2 in particular would make a huge difference for us! This has been brought up by all of our teams using Orion and would be a big help. All other tools we have used before Orion have this feature.
