Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Database redundancy
lnroy
My customer would like to use Orion to monitor a very large network (30 000 interfaces). He would like to have Orion SLX systems in 2 major cities, and having the database in both cities redundant with each other. Would it be possible to have half of the polling engines report to one system in city A, and the other half to the system in city B, and then the SQL database could sync the data they each acquired ? Or do we have to make all the polling engines report to the same system in one city, and then sync the whole database ?
Thanks !

Orion V7.6 also includes support for Hot-Standby Polling Engines that many large customers have needed for mission critical applications.

You can use multiple pollers, but only one DB. Of course you can cluster the DB etc.
