NPM Web Interface Usability - Custom Resource

I've got a general usability issue and also a more specific one dealing with the Custom Resources

The Custom Object Resource and Custom Chart issue is when you embed on in a page or just pull it up on its own, if you want more details on the object or the node the object belongs to, there doesn't appear to be a way to "get there from here".  Clicking on the object simply launches a new window with a larger version of the object and the ability to customize that view or that of the page where the object was launched from.  But how to I get to the node that the object belongs to?  I can't and that stinks.

Is anyone able to do what we want and if so, can you tell me how you are doing it?

Clicking on the header of any web page resource including the custom object resource will launch that resource in a new page of it's own. Clicking on something like a gauge would be the same as clicking on that gauge from within the node details page, ie it loads the historical chart so that won't bring you to the node/interface details page either.

You're not going to be able to get to the related objects details page (ie, for a cpu gauge, bring me to that nodes details page) using the resource itself, however you could add another resource to the same view which you could click into to get you there. Something like a filtered node list or a blank map with no background and just the objects added to it. You could even use a 'custom user links' resource and add links to the node details pages in question.

More of a workaround than a solution, however it should hopefully give you what you need.
