Custom Pollers

Hi,

Im trying to setup Dell OMSA to send information to Orion via snmp, so far ive failed.

I have created a custom poller in Orion, using an OID for RAID arrays (dell storage manager is installed on target box), what should happen next? Nothing new has been added under my server in the management console and the web interface isnt showing anything related to this poller???

Where have I gone wrong?

Rich...you have to add the custom poller to your node view. So go in the Admin Page -> Manage Views. What I have done is create a new View for a node that has a custom poller. Once your in the view you can go under Node Gauge or Node Chart and select custom poller.

I have tried this and it appears to be be working, however the data is nonsensical plus it is showing for all of the servers. I have used the Dell OID for System Temperature in a custom poller, i was expecting it to show the current temperature of the server as it does in OMSA, however the chart just shows a number 3???

I need to be able to view the real-time status of the server, as in its current temperature, RAID array status etc

Can this be done with Orion?
