For the life of me I can't find where I can edit existing scheduled network discoveries? I keep getting the notices when it adds a node, but I can't change the schedule or change what it's scanning.
Help?
Yup that's safe to remove. All other configuration are stored on the other tables.
To remove using the Orion Database Manager, click Enable table Editing against the dbo.DiscoveryProfiles and then right-click the row. Select Delete row.
Go to Settings > Network Sonar Discovery
Then find the scheduled Discovery profile you'd like to edit
Click Edit and next until you are on the page talking about frequencies and time this schedule will run

I don't see any existing profiles? but I know there are some because it does tell me when it finds new nodes
Can you go to your SQL server and check your database if you can see rows from the [dbo].[DiscoveryProfiles] table?
your account has admin permissions, correct?
I don't see the existing discovery, and I am an admin... should there be a list somewhere of existing discoveries that I'm just not seeing?
How often do you run those discovery profiles? There's default Discovery profiles retention of 60 days. Profiles which didn't run more than this value are deleted by the nightly DB maintenance. You can check this value in Settings / Polling Settings / Discovery retention.
We don't ever run any Discovery profiles, it's always the scheduled discovery that runs (it appears to run nightly)... but I have no idea where to even see a list of the discovery profiles configured for scheduled runtimes?? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place?
Can you post a screenshot of the notices you mentioned here?
I have no idea where to go to edit or disable this scheduled discovery.
ok.. can you post a screenshot if you go to Settings > Network Discovery > Discover Network?
Something like this..
