Is there a way to prevent passwords contained within configs from being displayed on the NCM web page?
Do you have the security settings set (under settings from the Orion network configurator)?
I do have that box checked but the encrypted version of the passwords show up on the web page. Is there a way to prevent that?
I have not used the web interface for NCM (do to some hanging issues that I have support working on). So my experiance with web interface is NIL. My only guess would be playing with the above settings to see what it does.
You might want to look at the webconfig file under inet\Solarwinds\web.config.
what is the reason for not showing the encrypted password?
if you have service password-encryption set and you only use secret instead of password, is that not enough?
I am just asking because I wouldnt show anyone my config that I wouldnt trust giving the encrypted password to.
