Orion Wireless Pack and Report Writer
janunez
We have the Wireless Management Pack and we are wondering if Solarwinds is planning to update report writer on V8.0 so we can easily create reports for the wireless data. Currently the only way to do that is writing a SQL script and I'm not verse in that language.
All I want to be able to do is create two reports:
1) A report that will show me all the access points that have had more than X number of users (clients) per day or for the last 7 or 30 days but summarized to one entry per AP per day. This will give me a list of all my highly utilized access points.
Ex.
Date | Name of AP | # of Clients
-------------------------------------------------------------
Nov 10, 2006 | WAP-1 | 22
Nov 12, 2006 | WAP-1 | 20
Nov 13, 2006 | WAP-20 | 25
2) A report that will show me the Total number of users (clients) connected to the wireless network per Day or for the last 7 or 30 days but summarized to one entry per Day, per SSID... so I'm looking for the Total of users per SSID. I would like to know how many users in my wireless network are guests and how many aren't.
Ex.
Date | SSID | # of Clients
-------------------------------------------------------------
Nov 10, 2006 | GuestNetwork | 60
Nov 10, 2006 | PrivatNetwork | 110
Nov 11, 2006 | GuestNetwork | 5
Nov 11, 2006 | PrivatNetwork | 45
Nov 12, 2006 | GuestNetwork | 1
Nov 12, 2006 | PrivatNetwork | 10
Nov 13, 2006 | GuestNetwork | 70
Nov 13, 2006 | PrivatNetwork | 175
Nov 14, 2006 | GuestNetwork | 80
Nov 14, 2006 | PrivatNetwork | 185
Has anyone created a report like this before that wouldn't mind posting their script out here?
Thanks,
Jose
