When adding a single node manually in NPM, you are given the options to define polling properties, assign custom/UnDP pollers, and enter fields for custom properties.
Once upon a time (NPM 9.x, 10.0?) these options were also available when importing nodes based on discovery results. However, after upgrading to NPM 10.2.2 I notice that I can no longer define any of these settings for discoveries, and I have to ask -- why? Previously if I had a discovery job based on a building, for example, I could pre-populate the "building" custom property with the correct value and have the results imported with the value set. Now, I have to import the discovery results, then go into node management, find all the nodes that were just imported, then mass edit them and assign the values. This change made the workflow much less efficient. What reason would there be for taking something that is useful and helpful and ditching it?
