Can you expand more on what you mean and are looking for? I have seen many customers take Visio network diagrams and use those as background for maps or create geographical maps and sub-maps as well.

I took our visio diagram of the network and basically made it the background for my "top" level maps using a cloud for switch fabrics and remote locations. for headend devices, I made the icon for the router a map and linked it to a submap that contained the router object as well as the major physical interfaces. etc... quick example
