Orion Installation on Windows 2003 Server

I've installed Orion, and the Microsoft SQL Server 2005.  During installation I am having trouble connecting to a database.  I'm using the tool for a trade study, and trying to install it on a Windows 2003 server.  Any help?  I don't have a certain database I want to connect to.  I just want to be able to monitor the boxes on the network.  What do I need to do?  Thanks..

Magic_man,

First I assume you have read through the installation documentation. If the issue is during the Configuration Wizard database setup, be sure and select the a new database and name it and locate it where you want it. The Configuration Wizard will take care of actually creating it. If the Configuration Wizard cannot see the SQL instance on your system then it is likely a SQL configuration issue, and you will want to consult Microsoft's documentation on SQL2005. The OS and SQL that you specified are fully supported so there is not an issue there. I hope this gets you in the right direction. If you continue to have issues I would suggest speaking with an SE or Support at Solarwinds.
