Installing 2nd polling engine?

Hello,

To help our Orion server keep up with polling we have bought a 2nd server and an additional polling engine license. How do I go about installing this and reproting back to the Orion server?

Yes you will have 2 x NPM servers, but the Web server part is only active on 1 server. They will both send data to the Database server.

Andy's installation instructions are only part of your answer. After installing the new poller, you're going to want to assign nodes to it. There's an entire chapter of the AG called "Managing Orion NPM Polling Engines" and the section that explains how to reassign nodes to the new poller is called Using the Polling Engine Load Balancer.

So I have to have 2 x NPM installed on my 2 separate servers and these will send there data back to the SQL server? So to view all the nodes can I get to either website on both NPM servers?

I thought I have 1 x SQL, 1 x NPM, 1 x addidional Polling Engine?

I guess I'm confused.
