AVAYA Communication Manager (CM)

Hi,

Is it possible to monitor the CPU and Memory of AVAYA CM in SolarWinds NPM?

I'm aware about the VNQM module but I would like to know the above requirement can monitor in NPM as well.

Btw, is VNQM able to monitor the CPU and memory as well?

I know now the issue.... we forgot to restart the Master Agent hehehehe..

And yes, you're correct i didn't see the memory and cpu utilization upon adding the list resources.. Anyhow, thank you very much!

id the device supports SNMP, you should be be able to monitor it (99% certain Avaya CM's are supported now). NPM will cover you for compute resource. VNQM doesn't do that on it's own.

Download an evaluation of NPM and give it a try!

The Avaya's I'm monitoring via SNMP in NPM don't show CPU or memory utilization by default. Not sure if you could use a custom poller to show them. I've not tried.

btw, we're using avaya cm 6.3 and our NPM version is 11.5.2

If you can't access the Avaya using SNMP from NPM then you've got an issue somewhere. Either SNMP is not running on the Avaya correctly or there's a firewall or something like an access list in between the NPM and the Avaya.
