Setting up orion webpage.

I'm trying to set up the webpage on 127.0.0.1 and when I enter that into the web browser a seperate window pops up asking me for name and password. In past installations this did not happen. I Orion login screen would come up. What name and password do I use?? Thanks.

It looks like the anonymous access setting for the Orion website has been disabled and is requiring you to authenticate before you can access the web page. You can verify by opening IIS, right-clicking on the Orion website, selecting Properties, clicking on the Directory Security tab, clicking the Edit button under Authentication and access control and verifying if the Enable anonymous access checkbox is checked.

Thanks for the help. To be more specific, I open the Orion service manager and the IIS Web site/Solarwinsds Netperfmon is stopped. I try to hit start/restart and nothing happens. I have IIS installed. Any ideas? The operating system is Windows XP. Eventually it will be running on Windows server, but put it on XP to try it out first.

I'm using http://127.0.0.1/default.asp to get to the web interface but nothing loads.

What happens when you unload the IIS? Also what do you see when you view IIS from the Admin. Services. Is there a re SW website listed as running?

Do you have IIS configured to run on 127.0.0.1 (or all interfaces) ?
If so, can you ping your loopback and/or telnet to port 80?
