8.1TB drive not detected my NPM9

We are currently using Solarwinds NPM 9. We monitor volumes on all of our servers and alert when we are within 10% of their capacity. We have a volume that is 8.1 TB. Orion showes the current space used on the volume however it does not report it's full size so it cannot give a percentage. If I click on the Node in System Manager and right click on the volume and select Volume Details, under Volume Size it says -7.9Tbytes. Is this a limitation of Orion or is there something I need to configure?

I have not tried this, but it should work. Forgive me if some terms I use are not industry standards, as I am by no means a SQL or database guy. If you go into your NetPerfMon database, and pull up the table that has volume size, you should be albe to alter it to whatever size you want. Rememebr to click read and write access to the table when you do the query.

Also, you say the volume is 8.1Tb, but Orion reads as 7.9TBs. Are you sure the 8.1 isnt what the vendor is proclaiming, when in actuality, the useable space on the volume is 7.9. Sometimes volumes have chucks of space allocated to other functions, and that space cannot be used for data. For instance, my 2Gig USB key is actually 2.3GB, but I can only use 2Gs. The other .3 is used for formatting or something.

Available is actually shown as 8.11TB. Orion thinks I owe them 7.9TB, not that I have 7.9TB

There may be something about the MIB that mis-behaves at 8 TB. We have heard of a couple of cases, but no customer has ever actually opened a case and given us the addition data we would need to solve the problem. Maybe you'll be the one. If you open a Support ticket, we'll certainly look at it.

first think you need to do is select 64 bit counters for this system.

im monitoring a 20TB volumn with no problem

Any updates on the problems with monitoring the 8tb drives? We have several installed on SunOS boxes using Net-SNMP and we see the same issue. I opened a support ticket and just got the "Check the 64 bit...." deal. It's already selected. I'd hate to have to add custom pollers for each volume, it's nice to see all the volumes in one section of the webpage.
