error creating website

Question

when running Orion configuration Wizard, I got error creating website message, in the configuration log it reads:

2008-03-10 13:48:11,046 [1] INFO  ConfigurationProgressScene - Creating website object
2008-03-10 13:48:11,046 [6] ERROR ConfigurationProgressScene - Caught exception while creating website: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800700B7): Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700B7)

any ideas how to fix this?

I'm running trial verion of Orionv8.5

This is windows2003. I had engineer tool installed but first time install orion.

I created the website manually and it works. Thank you.

Is this with XP?

Have you had a previous installation on this box? Is there a previous website folder located at C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds? If you do not have this folder you can try to

create the website manually.

go into the IIS Manager and create a new website called Solarwinds.  IIS will ask you for the location and then point to c:\Inetpub\solarwinds.

After you have created the website run the configuration wizard and select the website tab.
