Temperature monitoring on a HP DL380?

Hi all..

I've set up a universal device poller which polls the server for temperature.  Its working ok, but it gives the table below:

Temp_Celsius - LabelTemp_Celsius		0.1390.2180.3300.4300.5450.6300.730

Does anyone know how to alert based on one of the values using this, or am I missing something?

It also may be more useful to alert on the Temperature Status rather than the actual Temperature.  Look at OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.6.8.1.6   We alert on anything that's not OK.

I failed to mention the type of property to monitor is "Custom Node Poller" on the trigger tab.

We did it by creating an advanced alert.

For the trigger you need at least trigger when at least two things apply.

First trigger on the "Poller Name" "is equal to". The value it is looking for is the name of the poller. It can be found in the Universal Device Poller utility.

The second thing you need to trigger on is "Status". This is where the actual temperature that you polled resides. For us, we use "is greater than or equal to" and then a value of 300 (since our temperature monitoring was in 1/10ths of a degree so that was 30 degrees Celsius).

The complication is that it appears you are polling a table. I am not exactly sure how to check that unfortunately.
