What we would like if possible is a custom end of shift report to be emailed to the group at a certain time.
We have just purchased NPM, APM, UDT, Config Mgmt, Database & storage tabs & would like a summary of the previous 12 hours.

Have you looked into creating a report with the information you require? The web-based reporting feature should allow you to add custom resources covering custom time periods, and be reported on at custom intervals. So, you can have unique resources in a report, that all cover the last 12 hours, and be distributed every 12 hours to e-mail recipients you specify. Just remember when you get to the "Schedule Report" page to click "Create new schedule", add the frequency you want to deliver it, and add the e-mail report action.
