assign a view based on a custom property

I am struggeling with this task. I have created a node details summary view that I want only the nodes that are deployed in our WAN environment to use.

All other nodes should continue to tuse the default node details summary view. The Wan nodes are identified by a custom property called 'deployment'. This custom property can have multiple values which are selected by a drop down list. If the custom property 'Deployment' is set to WAN Then I want this node to use the new view I have created.

I have updated the custom property for all nodes that I want to use this view

I have created the new view for these WAN sites

I have created a limitation with the account limitation builder

my problem is that when I select a WAN node from the network map the default node details view is still bein g used not the new view that I just created.. Any suggestions on what I am missing or how to get this new view to work peoperly?

Unfortunately there are many different types of devices being used in the remote offices. It looks like the only way around this issue is to use the network atlas and manually assign the view (under hyperlink) instead of letting it stay as a logical page (automatically generated)......

In the GUI, the closest you can get to this is to use the 'Views by Device Type' under Settings

Here, you will be able to assign your WAN Node details view to devices based on their machine type (SysOID) only, not based on your custom property.

Hopefully your WAN devices are of the same type.

What about assigning a Device type to the devices that don't use SNMP manually so that you can make a new view for them? The access points I have are ICMP only.
