Dynamic Utilization Thresholds for Interfaces - Include dynamic threshold value in alert?

Good afternoon!

I'm playing with the Dynamic Transmit/Receive utilization thresholds, something I learned about just recently. We have a couple interfaces that, on average, see maybe ~20% send / 3% receive utilization; However, there have been events in the past causing these interfaces to skyrocket up to 80% utilization or higher in both directions.

The goal is for NPM to alert our communications team when we see utilization out of the ordinary on these interfaces - this is where, I think, Dynamic Thresholds should help us out; However, while building the alert I realized I wanted to include the dynamic warning/critical values in the e-mail. So far, I have not found a variable to display the dynamic threshold values.

Is this something that can be done?

So to get past that you would probably need to use a custom sql variable and hunt down the applicable baseline for your interface.  I'll see if I can dig up the table that it lives on to query.

I tried a couple different variables:

* Critical Value - ${N=SwisEntity;M=InPercentUtilizationThreshold.Level2Value}* Turned into '90', the default value instead of the current dynamic value

* Formula - ${N=SwisEntity;M=InPercentUtilizationThreshold.Level2Formula}* Turned into ${USE_BASELINE_CRITICAL}

Have you tried using just the value for warning/critical threshold after you set the object to use dynamic baselines?  I would expect one of two things, it shows the correct threshold and you are all done or it shows the placeholder variable for ${use_baseline} and you are in a hard spot.
