Alert Suppression

Is there a way to suppress alerts in this scenario?

Node down count greater than x within 1 min.

I have been trying to get suppressions to work for some time now and not been successful at preventing down stream devices from also alerting. So now I would like to do some type of count.

I don't think such a condition exists so I don't think it's possible. The request to prevent alerts from downstream devices triggering has been a long-standing request. It's on their roadmap so, one day, SolarWinds will fulfill this request.
