Alert - Responding to SNMP?

I would like to create an Alert when a device stops responding to SNMP. I do not see this as a choice when creating an Alert. I can however create a view in SYS Mgr with this field?
Can anyone help me to determine how to create this alert?

I believe you need to select the Status of the Node or Interface as "Unknown" in the alert. This usually means it's pingable, but SNMP is not responding.

set the interface stats to unknow and you'll know when snmp stops working however you may get some false positives if people do work on i nterfaces like swaping them out.

This is what I used to alert on any device not responding to SNMP that uses ICMP for up/down status and this seems to be working fine. If the node has an ICMP status of "UP" and SNMP Hardware status of "UNDEFINED" OR a Node Child Status of "UNKNOWN" then in most cases, the node stopped responding to SNMP and will send the alert. If your ICMP node status is down, it will not alert on the SNMP Status.

Made a couple of changes. This seems to work fine now:

i am seeing this alert working in some and some it doesnt...

Any clue why this could happen?

OR is there any better way to know when WMI/SNMP creds fail to work?
