What Does Everyone's Information Service Memory Utilization Look Like?

We are seeing fairly high memory usage numbers for SolarWinds.InformationService.ServiceV3.exe and SolarWinds.InformationService.Service.exe.

Server details:

SAM 5.0.1

NPM 10.3

1380 Nodes, 2907 Interfaces, 1268 Volumes, 5555 Total Elements

The normal info service will sit at a couple hundred MB for about a week after restarting the server, then it will jump to 500-600MB and within a day be hovering around 1GB until a service restart. The V3 service is a bit more unpredictable, but I've been told that changes based on actual queries from the web site. However, the V3 does roughly follow the regular service's slow climb towards 1-1.2GB and never seems to drop back down to it's first week's memory utilization levels.

Does everyone else see this behavior, or is it unique to our install? Thanks.

I had similar problems for awhile now.  The SolarWinds.InformationService.ServiceV3.exe will run at 180k to 200k and spike to 1.5GB to 1.6GB at unpredictable times.  The only thing I can possibly corralate it to is the use of Network Atlas and the building of maps.  Has anybody upgraded to NPM 10.4 and noticed a difference?  I have reload and reinstalled several services to no avail.

Just thought I'd re-check my services and currently the normal service is on 103Mb and the V3 service is 140Mb. So they have changed over the last few weeks, the normal one went up, the V3 one went down.

Do you notice a degration in performance when the memory is so high on those 2 services? How much memory does the server have? Mine has 32Gb.

We are running SQL 2008 on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, and our Solarwinds NPM box is also Server 2008 R2 x64. The SQL server seems pretty happy most of the time and we haven't had any real performance issues on that device.
