IE8 Issues w/Expandable Objects

I have been working with EOC a lot recently to get the system ready for Production Launch, I just noticed that there are two bugs that happen when I'm using IE8.

1. If I expand a tree out that has a large number of nodes or interfaces then close that tree, the box does not retract.

2. I can only expand one level in a tree, if I try to go deeper the page hangs and I have to back out or close the IE window.

Any suggestions besides not using IE8?

Can you try to click the "Emulate IE7" button in IE8 and try to reproduce your issues. If this does fix them, then I believe that we can find a simple solution for you with a small change to the website code. BTW, can you post some screenshots of these issues?

The compatibility mode doesn't change the issue.

Above is the screen where I had attempted to open the plus sign next to "AM". Notice the "Error on page" that comes up when I try to use the plus sign. At that point I had to refresh. My mouse opened the listing to one that doesn't have anything but nodes without issue but the lockup happens when there is more than one sub-category.
