I want to monitor the BRI port on a Cisco router and send out an alert if it goes active. I can't see how to select an interface. Is this possible?
Yes, this is possible.
In the Advanced Alert Manager set the Alert Type to Interface and then add two simple conditions; one that names the specific node and then one that calls out that specific interface.

there are few options to achieve that like,
* Rename the interface name as per you convenience and then create alert accordingly.
* Add one interface custom property on that interface & and then create alert accordingly.
* while creating alert, put node name on first condition and interface condition on second.
that main motive here is that solarwinds alert condition to reach out that particular interface for which you want alert.
