Alert Suppression
mgibson
I am new to Orion and haven't set-up any suppression yet.I am confused as to how to set it up.
If i have a router on the other end of a WAN Link and it has 2 or 3 switches at the remote site, logically 1 switch (the switch that the Router is connected is the main switch, this switch also has another switch hung off of it. How would one set-up an Alert Suppresstion for this model? What about further up the chain, for instance the router and the switches on the Orion side of this WAN Link, do they need a seperate Alert Suppression model set-up? Or are they part of this one?
Should Alert Suppression be started at your Core closest to your Poller? When you are monitoring over 1100 nodes it would help to know where one should start!
