In previous versions of NPM I was able to search the nodes by their machine types. After the upgrade to NPM v10.3.1 I cannot find this option in the search by drop-down menu any more. Was this option removed?
Where are you trying to do the search? The default search option you can add to a page only allows for IP or hostname. However, if you go to Settings -> Manage Nodes, I see that I can sort by pretty much any property (default or custom) including Machine type.
I'm trying to search from a web resource on my NPM's home page. Sorry, I forgot to mention-
hm. I dont remember ever being able to do that, and I have been using Orion since version 8.
Agreed don't ever remember that and I've been on since 6. I'm on 10.2.2 now and it doesn't exist.
Maybe someone from Solarwinds could shed some light on it, e. g.
1. The option search by machine type was left out after NPM v10.1.3 by mistake or
2. It was discontinued by design or
3. It was never there and my mind is playing tricks on me. :-)
I took some time and installed the older version of NPM 10.1.3. The option to search by machine type was there.
Could we please get it back?
