forward snmp traps to syslog server
lohelle
Is it possible to forward snmp traps to the integrated syslog server in an easy way? Would be nice to access them from the web interface..
Would be nice to forward the snmp traps (sent out by ACL deny-and-notify rules) to syslog server..

The Syslog Services does not receive SNMP traps. Totally different format for the data and decoding. However, most vendors will send the same information in a syslog packet. For example, on a Cisco Device you can add the commands
syslog trap debugging
syslog x.x.x.x
where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the Orion Syslog Service. This will send all the messages generated by ACL failures, (if you have included 'log' on the ACL line)
