Alert Suppression

Hey guys,
I'm trying to get alert suppression to work on the downstream devices behind the routers. Basically, if the router is down, I don't
want duplicate alerts going off for anything connected downstream.
I'm using the new beta version and I can't seem to
figure out the appropriate custom properties or trigger/suppression statements to make it work correctly. Any ideas?
Also, is there a better way to test the alerts without having to take a node down?
