I've run into a snag when trying to configure pass through authentication for Orion v10.1.3. When my environment was originally deployed, we had installed v9.5 which required the Windows pass through to make AD authentication work. When I attempted to follow the admin guide to make the conversion, I'm getting myself locked out of Orion. I have a local Admin account and several domain/user accounts set up in the system, but I'm not sure how to clear the passwords for some of those accounts.
In IIS Manager, I'm going to the Solarwinds NetPerfMon Site -> Actions/Properties -> Directory Security -> Edit Authentication and access control -> uncheck Integrated Windows authentication. After that, I'm restarting IIS services at the server level. After that, I'm getting that I am not authorized to view the NPM page for my Orion account. Since it's using the logged in AD credentials (I'm assuming), I'm not getting the opportunity to login with local Orion credentials (if pass through is working the way it should, this is correct).
So, What are the steps I should follow to get my Orion installation to work properly with pass through authentication? Is there a way to clear my account password from the portal? I don't appear to be able to change my password with my AD account when I'm logged in currently.
Hopefully I've got my issue right! Thanks in advance for any help!
