the Solarwinds.dataprocessor.exe process randomly started spiking the memory on our additional polling engine and it shows no signs of stopping.
Not entirely sure what this guy does, I checked Polling completion and its is still at 100
Procedure from solarwinds to fix solarwinds.dataprocessor.exe:
-Stop Orion Services using Orion Service Manager
-Access Services.msc and search for Message Queuing service
-Stop Message Queuing Service
-Access C:\Windows\System32\msmq\Storage
-Delete files with .MQ extension
-Start Message Queuing Service
-Start Orion Services
I haven't restarted anything because the polling rate is still at 100% and everything is working normally but checking periodically throughout the night the memory utilization never went below 90%. Haven't restarted anything yet because I want solarwinds to actually see whats going on.
This dataprocessor process was stuck in very high CPU utilization (>80%) on my server causign near 100% server CPU util. Did the steps outlined above and it dropped back down to 'normal'...
Awesome! Glad I could save you a call to support! Ours has been stable since we followed this procedure as well, fingers crossed it stays that way.
