How to use Private MIBs in Universal Device Poller?

I'm trying to make a Poller for our Mikrotik Radios, and all their useful information is put in the Private Tree of their MIB.

When I use MIB Walk from Engineers Toolset, I have no problem displaying all OID's in the Private MIB Tree.

When when I try to copy one of the OIDs (for example enterprises.14988.1.1.1.2.1.3.0.12.66.21.36.210.2) into UDP, UDP is not able to find it.

Any tips?

Hi,

As Andrew alluded to, it is not actually required to have the MIB compiled into Orion for all OID's you wish to custom poll, it just makes life easier..

Simply paste the OID into the field in the UnDP and manually specify the Advanced Options.

Can you confirm the full OID you want to poll? We do not currently have the Mikrotik MIB in the MIB we ship, but, if the OID is valid, you should be able to define a UnDP to poll it without difficulty. For more information about defining a UnDP, see "Monitoring MIBs with Universal Device Pollers", specifically the section, "Creating Universal Device Pollers", in the SolarWinds Orion NPM Administrator Guide.

As said earlier, I can get a value from the mentioned OID when selecting Private MIB in the program MIB Walk, but when I try the same OID in UDP, UDP cannot find it at al.l

If you want the Mikrotik OIDs/MIBs included in the SW MIB, post them to the following thread. The SW MIB is updated on a regular basis.
