Layer 3 for neighbors Routers connected ?

Hi i am using NPM 10.2.1

We have 2 Cisco Routers and both are connected with Sr Interfaces i have L3 enabled but i am not able to connect through (Connect Now and Not able to see the both connected with "Network Topology " however they shows the receptive Switch connected .

I have tried rediscovery for the routers / i can see the CDP info in the both routers .

What should i do next to get this working ?

Rakshas, I apologize for the delay in getting back with you.

NPM does not currently collect topology information based on CDP data. This is something we are interested in adding in the future (see the What we are working on post).

The layer 2 topology job looks at the Bridge-MIB and the layer 3 topology job collects data from IPNetToMedia MIB (ARP table). The L2 job gives us the MAC addresses. If you are managing a node with SNMP, then we will correlate this node with the port it is connected to based on the data in the Bridge MIB. If you are not managing it with SNMP (maybe WMI or ICMP) then we don't know the MAC address for the device so leverage the Layer 3 data (ARP) to find the correlation between IP and MAC and then connect the MAC to the proper port. This isn't exactly a true L3 link (like a routed link).

Hi Rakshas--

Did you try this with the Network Sonar Discovery? If you have and still nothing has been found, I would recommend opening a support ticket.

Yes i did Network Sonar Discovery and that is fine .

My Connect now is working fine for L2 switches and L2 devices. (however ) not for L3 devices .

I have questions that is Network Atlas connect now will work for L3 to L3 devices ? (Router to Router )

will Devices connected on L3 to L3 devices will show up in " NPM Network Topology " ? (Router to Router )

What Orion L3 option is collecting from devices ?

I can see my show CDP is working shows correct devices connected.
