Log modifications to alerts

I'd like to be able to monitor and log any changes made to the alerts in the orion database.

Sometimes I go in and swear that things are unmonitored that I know should be, but I have no way of proving it. I can't simply lock down the console because it is my client's network (I'm the orion admin for all intents and purposes).

How can I log changes to the alerts table in the DB? even if I just can show the time of day and the date that it was altered that would be a great start.
