Hello-
I am running Orion 8.5.1 SP3 on Windows Server 2003 SP2. I have a problem were one of my firewalls; a Fortinet FG-60, shows up in the Orion web gui with multiple instances of the same interface. For example, the physical device has WAN1, WAN2, DMZ, and Internal ports. When using, System Manager from the server console, each of these interfaces is listed. If I select all four to monitor, after a week or so, multiple WAN2s show up in the web gui. By checking the URL that the web gui is using and confirming the Interface ID in the System Manager console I am able to see that the System manager is showin the Interface ID for WAN2 is 380, but in the web gui I also have WAN2 instances listed with interface IDs of 29, 371, and 336. Why is this happening? How can I remove these from the DB without deleting the interface completely in the System Manager and loosing all of my historical trending data? This is a fairly serious bug in my opinion.
I fear that Orion is not counting interfaces correctly due to this and limiting the amount I can monitor as a result. I have not taken the time to manually count to confirm.
Thanks for any info that anyone can provide.
